The Pneumatic Typewriter was invented by Marshall A. Wier of London, England, ca.1894. At least two version were proposed: a double-keyboard version and a universal single-keyboard one. Production of the Pneumatic typewriter to be handled by the Consolidated Telephone Construction and Maintenance Co., Ltd. of 109 Farringdon Rd., London. Blanzy, Poure and Co. of Paris was slated to distribute the Pneumatic in France.
