This comb was invented by E. McG Jones of Winchester, Kentucky, ca.1918. It had a built in irrigation system so that, while combing the hair, therapeutic or medicinal ointments could be released onto the scalp. The comb had an internal flow regulator, too. Pressure was supplied via a surgical tube connected to a compressed air reservoir.
