This Imperial Typewriter, with its double keyboard, was supposed to be on the market in June of 1895. That's what was stated at a shareholders meeting of the Imperial Typewriter Company which was held in Montreal, Quebec during March of the same year. Advertisements for the typewriter were circulated as early as May of 1894. The company was dissolved on November 14, 1905.
