The Eagle Typewriter was invented by Charles J. Paulson and patented in 1902. It was marketed by the Eagle Typewriter Company of 150 Nassau Street in Brooklyn, New York. The Eagle was a name variant of the Secretary Typewriter and predecessor to both the Defi Typewirter and even later Sterling Typewriters.
