Wanted: Columbia Typewriter
When speaking of legendary inventors of typewriters, like those responsible for the S & G, Blickensderfer or Wagner, one must also mention Charles Spiro. Not only did Spiro develop the Columbia typewriters on this page, but he's also responsible for the Bar-Lock and the Columbia Music typewriter as well helping refine the Alexander into to the Gourland. The Columbia typewriter, of which there were three different models (two are represented on this page), was first produced in 1885 by the Columbia Typewriter Company of New York.
