Starting with the No.2 model, like the one on this page, the Hammond Typewirter Co. of New York offered modified versions of its typewriters for the blind. Included were modifications to the keyboard, eraser plate and shuttle guard. The typewriter would have also come with a Braille type shuttle with the layout in the image below.
